Das goldene Kloster Rangiri Vihara blickt auf eine etwa 2000jährige Geschichte zurück. Diese Grotte, Maharaja Viharaya, ist mit 37 Meters Länge und 23 Metern Breite die größte. Die Wandmalereien wurden in der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts auf ältere Zeichnungen aufgetragen.

The golden monastery Rangiri Vihara looks back on about 2000 years of history. This grotto, Maharaja Viharaya, is the largest with 37 meters length and 23 meters width. The murals were applied to older drawings in the second half of the 18th century.
