Keynote at the International Sales Summit in Arnsberg

On 8 Sep 2023, I gave my keynote speech ‘Three tools for your race to the finish line’ at the TRILUX International Sales Summit. More than 400 sales and marketing professionals from over 15 countries took part in this summit to discuss the latest trends and challenges over two intensive days.

Despite the tight programme of specialist presentations and interactive workshops, the atmosphere was relaxed and almost informal. ‘We are a strong team that inspires each other,’ a participant from Brazil told me in conversation, perfectly summarising the atmosphere.

My mission was: To provide inspiration and motivation so that the TRILUX teams can continue to charge towards their goal with full energy, even in ‘challenging times’.

I know only too well from my own experience that perseverance, discipline, structure and unbridled willpower are essential in day-to-day sales.

Whether you’re on a photo hunt in the jungle, in a sporting competition or in your sales career, you’ll always encounter obstacles, doubts and surprises on the way to the finish line.

My three tools will help you get through even difficult stages with a clear head and an alert mind:

Radical acceptance: See the situation as it is. No better, no worse. That way you stay confident.

I can figure it out: Believe in your own ability to learn and adapt. Those who want to develop further often discover solutions where others only see blockages.

The power of decision: Make a conscious choice and follow it through. Again and again! Only your clear decisions will guide your actions and motivate those around you.
